Pastor Carlson is fluent in web design, though his time is limited these days; he keeps up with current design and development trends and systems.
The LCMS sermons search page uses Google Custom Search to gaze out into the world wide web (with certain limitations placed on where it looks) to find the best and most faithful Lutheran sermons available, to help you prepare or study. While it is not recommended that you "copy and paste" any of the resources you find, or simply preach an already-preached sermon, it is certainly true that reading other pastor's sermons may help you. And most pastors are kind enough to allow this.
When you search, simply enter a Scripture passage, a pericope, a Sunday of the Church Year, or even a pastor or church name. The search engine will do the rest. Oh, and if you have a site that you think should be included in the search engine, such as a church website with sermons or another sermon resource site, just fill out the contact form and include the URL and rationale for inclusion.
